this is the 3rd time back at the castle and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in conway its perfect
Staff was very helpful and knowledgable. I asked for late check out and received a positive response.
No lift. Difficult to get baggage up and down stairs.
This hotel is located in the center of Conwy, is close to the railway station and is very convenient for walking around the town. English (or welsh) breakfast was very nice.
Attractive idiosyncratic room; fast internet access (no charge and very easy to set up); good room service meal; excellent breakfast (though no marmalade available). Splendid location and ambience
staying here was a bit of a splurge for me - i did not regret it!!!!
A great location supported by excellent food in the restaurant, a warm welcome and friendly staff
Some of the soft furnishings looked a little tired.
Nice room (single) with very nice and new bathroom. Very friendly staff. Good location with parking.
Noisy room on the stairs. Poor soundproofing - Seagulls kept me awake all night when combined with the nearby clock that chimed every 15 mins !!
Staff very helpful. Nice friendly atmosphere in the hotel. Rooms clean well furnished and decor in keeping with the history of the hotel with a modern twist.Breakfasts excellent. Overall hotel good value for money. Would definately stay again.
Location is good. Staffs were great.
I feel Price is very high. But I am coming from US so I have no clue about average rates for these kind of hotels.Lighting in the room is not great.I would love to get some bright lights.
The location is absolutely fabulous in the heart of the old town inside the city walls at 5 min. walk from the castle and right beside a couple of other atractions (oldest house, furnished country house, smalles house). Even the "normal" club room we've took was furnished at a luxury level and everything was clean and nice. The reception staff was extremely friendly and helpfull and provided us everything we've needed immediately. The building itself was absolutely stunning. Overall it'a charmingly warm & pitoresque family hotel really well fit in the medieval sourounding.
It was annoying that the guy at the hotel's restaurant didn't let us take the baby's pushchair to the breakfast even if there would have been space - he finally put a table for us alone in the lounge far away from the buffet. The cold buffet at breakfast was dissapointing for a hotel of this level: only some basic stuff you could find at an Ibis or Holiday Inn - not in a 4 star hotel, however the cooked breakfast was really tasty (exceptional grilled kippers and smoked haddock). The lounge could use some refreshing as it looks dusty and worn out - unlike the rooms or the hallways which are really nicely decorated.
This is an independently run business that clearly takes a great pride in trying to get everything right. The fixtures and fittings were all relatively new, and of very good quality. The room was exceptionally clean. The food is very good, the staff friendly, and the location is excellent (from my perspective).
I was very satisfied with my stay, but I would have appreciated being tipped off about the need to book for dinner, as on one busy evening I couldn't get into either the bar or the restaurant, and had to settle for room service.
Very nice accomodations, could walk right out the front door and experience Conwy
A little noisy from the street and bar on the first floor
The hotel is situated in the middle of a beautiful town in a beautiful part of Wales handy for the sights, it has been beautifully decorated and has a very warm welcoming atmosphere, the food is absolutely fantastic and not beyond your budget. This place is a genuine Gem.
The Hotel was very convenient, clean, good food and very comforable. Good parking.
The dining experience was very enjoyable for both breakfast and dinner (ate lunch elsewhere). All service from reception to dining was excellent. The beautiful bed sank in the middle but we were fine for the two night visit. A wonderful location to enjoy the history, shopping, fish and chips, the castle and more. Our end of June visit held beautiful weather.
Mattress sank in the middle!
